The Ministry of Planning has initiated the process of the preparation of Sector Plans. 19 sector-specific plans will outline the sector policies, programmes, projects and reform measures to be implemented in order to meet the objectives of the Kenya Vision 2030 and its first Medium Term Plan (2008-2012).

Ministers of developing and donor countries responsible for promoting development and Heads of multilateral and bilateral development institutions endorsed the Agenda for Action in Accra, Ghana, on Septermber 4, 2008 to accelerate and deepen implementation of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (March 2, 2005).
